Jay Oats were developed by Purdue University - a new blood line
with a very good yield record. Jay is a tan oat with good test
weight, medium height and stands very well. It is
resistant to crown rust and has improved resistance to yellow
barley dwarf, Jay has the same maturity as Ogle.

Oats
Ogle Oats is a high-yielding variety from the University of
Illinois. compared with the Lang variety, it is several days
later in maturity and taller strawed, but is much
higher-yielding, equal in test weight, lodging resistance and
grain quality with superior yellow dwarf resistance.

Blaze
Oats
Blaze is a mid-season spring oat. It is a little shorter than
Ogle with higher test weight and shows better yield. Blaze is
tolerant to barley yellow dwarf virus and is more resistant to
crown rust.

combine the same time as Ogle. Armor has moderate resistance to

Pennsylvania Agricultural Experiment Station in cooperation with
the U.S.D.A. It produces very good yields of grain and straw,
